The Moon is in its exalted sign of Taurus today, just finishing up our beautiful New Moon that was at its maximum around noon Pacific Time yesterday. Taurus is the sign of material pleasures, so I hope you got a chance to enjoy something comforting, sensuous, or delicious this past weekend.
Surprises still possible
Later this afternoon, the Moon will be conjoining Uranus, planet of sudden change – which is making a sextile to Saturn, Venus, and the North Node in Pisces. So it’s possible that we could still get some surprises happening in the areas of our lives that have to do with resources, structure, relationships, or our passions – and with the North Node in the mix, they may end up being things that will take a little effort to get through or get done.
Venus and Neptune bringing us a dreamy, passionate week
Saturn and Venus have been cozying up with the North Node in Pisces for a couple of weeks now, but as we move on into this week, we’re going to see both these planets separating from the North Node and heading for Aries. Saturn won’t fully cross over for another month, but Venus will be entering Aries on Wednesday morning Pacific Time, where it’ll conjoin Neptune.
Aries is a very energetic and impulsive energy, and Neptune is the planet of dreams and illusions. So that means that for the second half of this week, there is a higher likelihood that we might suddenly fall in love with an idea, a person, a project, or something else. And as I always say during a Neptune transit – enjoy it, but don’t commit. Wait a bit until you can see clearly again and make sure that your new infatuation is going to be a safe bet. That said, it’s going to be an amazing time to make or enjoy art, get in touch with your passionate side, or do deep intuitive exploration. And our dreams will probably be very potent during this time, too.
Jupiter is back on stage
As we get to the end of the week, we’re going to see Jupiter come back onto the stage. It’s been hanging out in Gemini all this while, but it hasn’t been getting much action for a few weeks. Now we’ll be seeing a t-square shaping up between Jupiter and the Lunar Nodes, and it’ll also be getting a sextile from Gemini’s ruler, Mercury.
Jupiter is the planet of expansion, optimism, and luck, but in Gemini it has been a little unpredictable. That’s because Gemini is opposite to Jupiter’s home sign of Sagittarius, so it’s a place where this planet feels far from home and unwelcome. Gemini is playful and loves to flit from thing to thing – whereas Jupiter wants to stride forward with focus and confidence. So while we may start to see some opportunities come our way as Jupiter re-enters the scene, it’s possible that some of those might turn out to be less wonderful than expected.
This week’s theme: Don’t commit – yet.
So the theme for this week is, “don’t commit – yet.” It’s a week when we might feel ourselves carried away by the energy. I’m a hopeless romantic, and I definitely have a tendency to get caught up in a dream of something that’s a little too good to be true. Dreaming is wonderful, so I think we should all go ahead and enjoy this dreamy time. But let’s just make sure we stay tethered to the ground, as well.
