Neptune in Aries is teaching us about heroism
We’re still getting used to the energy of Neptune in Aries, which entered this fiery sign just a week ago. In Aries, Neptune is urging us to consider what it means to be heroic: to defend, fight back, and stand up for what we love and believe in. Neptune is also making a sextile to shadowy Pluto, which represents power and fear – and we saw all those themes playing out on a national scale this past weekend.
Right now things in the world feel unpredictable and scary – and not just because of the astrological transits. At this point it’s pretty hard to ignore the chaos and sense of dread that is pervading the world. And while I’m not one of those astrologers who will tell you exactly how this is going to play out, I am here to support you the best that I can. To help you find a sense of balance and calm so that you can respond to the uncertainty with courage, hope, and strength.
Acceptance and change continue, but with Mercury direct
Last week I talked about acceptance and change, as Mercury and Venus approached the end of their retrogrades, with unpredictable Uranus, structuring Saturn, volatile Mars, and the fateful Lunar Nodes all involved too.
And this Monday morning we find ourselves at the very tail end of Mercury’s retrograde story – as it stations direct at 4am Pacific Time today. Venus won’t station until the end of the week, but I do think that, as the week unfolds, we’ll feel more and more of a sense of traction, as if the gears are finally engaging and giving us a sense of momentum.
We’ve still got that cat’s cradle configuration happening between all the planets and points I just named, though – with Saturn, Venus, the North Node, and Mercury in oceanic Pisces, Uranus in Taurus, and Mars in emotional Cancer all at or around 25 degrees. So in a way, we’re going to be continuing that project of acceptance and change that we’ve already been working on, both collectively and personally. It’s still a great time to be working on implementing new structures, observing what’s coming up in the realms of relationships and desires, and embracing the big picture.
Full Moon in Libra and Venus stationing direct
Starting on Thursday, we’ll have a beautiful Full Moon in Libra, which will be at its maximum on Saturday evening, just as Libra’s ruler Venus stations direct. So this coming weekend may bring some clarity and a sense of decision or enlightenment to money or relationship issues that have felt stalled recently. But with the Moon and Sun making a t-square with Mars during this Full Moon, there may also be some heated emotions. If that’s the case, I encourage you to wait a little while until you’re sure what the universe is really telling you.

So the theme for this week is, “don’t let your fears rule you.” Whether that’s the fear of a breakup, or worries about your budget, or anxiety about the state of the world, now more than ever, it’s a time when we need to be both wise and brave, and to advocate for what we want.
