Uranus plus the Nodes: the changes of eclipse season continue
The Moon is in Scorpio this Monday morning, having finished up a beautiful Libra Full Moon yesterday. As it moves through Scorpio, it’s going to oppose Uranus in Taurus tomorrow, reminding us that even though we’re already halfway through April, astrologically we’re still finishing up a series of transits that began in March’s dramatic eclipse season.
That’s because Uranus is getting a sextile and trine from the fateful Lunar Nodes – the points in the sky that give us eclipses. The North Node, which is currently in Pisces, points us toward what we need to strive for, and this week it’s going to be conjoined by Saturn, planet of structure, and Venus, planet of desire. With Uranus in the mix as well, we’re likely to be confronted by surprising circumstances that challenge us to let go of our tight hold on details, and embrace the big picture. With Venus now finally direct again after 6 weeks of being retrograde, we’re also likely feeling the gears turn or the rubber meet the road in some aspect of our lives.
Mercury conjunct Neptune brings fire and fog
Mercury also just stationed direct again last week, and tomorrow evening it’ll be moving back into the fiery sign of Aries, where it’ll be conjoining Neptune for the rest of the week. Neptune just moved into Aries, where it’s been challenging us to consider what it means to be brave and heroic, and stand up for what we know is right, even when things seem more confusing and illusory than ever. As Mercury conjoins it this week, we’ll likely feel those themes intensify – so it’ll be important to remember last week’s theme of “don’t let your fears rule you.”
Mars in Leo, Sun in Taurus, and a T-square with Pluto
During the second half of the week we’ll have the Sun and Mars moving into new signs as well, and moving toward a T-square with Pluto. Mars will enter Leo on Thursday night, and the Sun will enter Taurus around 1pm Pacific Time on Sunday.
So while we’ll probably feel some emotional relief at the end of the week with Mars finally out of Cancer, we can still expect a sense of tension, and with Pluto in the mix, probably also a healthy dose of fear. But as I always say – Pluto is an energy that rewards courage. If you are willing to look deep into the shadows, you’ll find treasure waiting for you.
This week’s theme: “stay grounded”
So the theme for this week is, “stay grounded.” There’s a lot happening in fire signs now, plus electric Uranus feeding its shocks into the system as well, so the energy is really full-on spring! I love spring, and I’m enjoying it to the fullest, but as we bounce around and start to feel busier, it’s also good to remember to root down and find our feet, so that any surprises that come don’t knock us too far off our path.
